Receiving Inspection
American Tool & Die has established and implemented activities necessary for ensuring that purchased product(s) and materials meet specified requirements.
When traceability is a requirement, American Tool & Die assigns the materials/product a unique identification number that is tied into the manufacturing work order number and the material certification. This information is used for tracking purposes from receiving to shipping.
Final Inspection
American Tool & Die monitors and measures the significant characteristics of the product(s)/materials throughout the production process to verify that all customer requirements are fulfilled. A sampling of the product/materials is pulled for final inspection utilizing prints and customer specifications. Records of the final inspection performed are maintained and indicate the person(s) performing the inspection.
Calibration
American Tool & Die measuring devices that are used as a media for final acceptance of product/materials are calibrated at specified intervals or prior to use. Measuring devices are assigned a unique identification number and are calibrated to measurement standards traceable to international or national standards. A Calibration Master list is used to identify the unique identification number, equipment type, location of measurement device, date due for calibration and last date calibrated.
